Why Residents Watch?
Since 2012, Residents Watch is reporting on local civic issues and helped in spreading awareness about issues that were many times addressed by the authorities due to the increasing media pressure. While some stories immediately prompted action from the authorities, other stories also appealed to the rest of the media fraternity in Bangalore who made the issue known city, and even nationwide.
How much should I donate?
Anything you please. An average article cost ranges from Rs 2,000 to Rs 16,000, depending on the complexity and time taken. We publish atleast one story every weekday. Over 90% of our expenses are on reporting, writing, fact-checking, research, and proofreading. The rest is to do with technology, server and other costs.
