Ragini, a 36-year-old resident of Haralur near HSR Layout, has filed a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against the proprietors of Tripwisers, a partner of Yatra travel portal.
To book a holiday package to Thailand, Ragini apparently paid Rs 98839 through Google Pay to Tripwisers on October 19, 2019 as directed by Yatra online. This was for a holiday from December 23, 2019 to December 28, 2019.
While they promised to send her the tickets within 2-3 days, the tickets never came. Ragini says that the accused, Neeraj Verma and Bhawana Kanwal, both residents of Delhi, allegedly transferred her money into their personal accounts with an intention to defraud her, and never sent her the flight tickets or answered her emails and phone calls.
The Bellandur police have booked a case of cheating, crimininal breach of trust and common intention to cheat and are investigating the two accused.
