On October 1, between 7pm and 1145pm, the city crime branch officials arrested two drug peddlers in Sector 2 while two are still absconding.

The two accused are Balagopal (27 years), a resident of KK Residency, Sector 2 and Sanoj (28 years), a resident of Harlur. The other two accused who are still at large are Sejay (30) and Saiju (age not given). While Sejay is a resident of TC Palya, Saiju belongs to Kerala, according to the police.
 
Under the leadership of VD Shivaraju, the CCB police pounced into action when they received information on October 1 at around 2.30pm that the accused were selling drugs on the footpath of 24th Main near Udupi Palace restaurant, and making illicit money by going around in their Honda Activa.
 
Some of the drugs seized during their late night operation include four grams of MDMA, 24 grams of Ecstasy tablets, and five kilos of Cannabis (Ganja). Three mobile phones and one Honda Activa was also seized. The drugs are valued at around Rs 4 lakh.
 
This is the second such arrest in the space of two months. On August 19, one person was nabbed with drugs worth Rs 3 lakh. He was growing cannabis in a pot at his rented flat in HSR Layout.
