It’s that time of the year when Kaikondrahalli Lake on Sarjapur Road comes alive. Mark your calendar. Tomorrow, the 17th of February, will witness Kere Habba 2019 between 6am and 6pm. The lake that is home to a kalyani tank, kalyani gazebo and bridge gazebo will play host to a food court, retail stalls (santhe), citizens corner, kids corner (pottery, handicrafts) and play area.
The lake festival begins at 6am with a bird walk at the bridge right at the entrance of the lake. This will be followed by a 5k run in the school ground which is close to the kids play area inside the lake premises. The kids corner will be home to a number of activities involving words, science, and stories.
The food court will have an exhibition of ‘Bangalore through the ages’ and a SwachaGraha Composting workshop. At the amphitheatre, there will be a music concert by Bindhumalini. Back at the kids corner, there will be an art demo by Hetang Mehta, a reading corner set up by Unnati Library and ‘Stories under the tree’ by Ramya. Not to mention, a lake conference from 9am-1230pm at the amphitheatre. For more details, you can click HERE.
