When the authorities don’t listen, the residents should never give up. Sector 2 resident Lalithamba BV did just that. When she heard that last week, one of the maids lost her purse to three ruffians who luckily spared her life, she called every authority imaginable to ensure that there was a streetlight on this dark stretch of the road where the robbery took place.

The theft happened on a dark stretch of Somasundrapalya Main Road near Shyla wine shop. “The stretch near Shyla wines was completely dark as there was no street light,” recalls Lalithamba. “After our follow-up, BBMP fixed the street light today. Finally, there is light before Diwali!”
