This is a recurring problem on Airport Road. It is about time there is an agency dedicated to the upkeep of the lights on this important thoroughfare. Similarly, many stretches of Outer Ring Road are just as bad. One concerned citizen shot a video of this on Airport Road to highlight the gloomy scene when they were travelling from the airport and proceeding towards the city.
The BBMP has promised speedy action on this. However, citizens are demanding the authorities to set a system in place where such maintenance happens without their involvement. They have also asked the officials to punish the contractor who is supposed to have erred here.
Prashanth from the Karnataka Information Department replied to the complaint and tagged the BBMP to redress this grievance immediately. For those who don’t know, in case the individual departments are not taking action, you could also tag the state government department to ensure better compliance. Their Twitter ID is Karnataka_DIPR.
In case you are facing any problem related to the BBMP, you can also use these contact details to reach them: BBMP Helpline No: 080-22660000, WhatsApp: 9480685700.
You can also complain online through the revamped Sahaaya mobile app that takes complaints against BBMP, BDA, BMRCL, BESCOM, BWSSB, BMTC and BMRDA.
