A prostitution racket was busted by HSR Layout cops in Sector 3. On a tip off at 5pm on October 2, the cops conducted a swift operation between 5.30pm and 6.30pm to arrest two persons under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956.
 
In addition, they managed to rescue two women who were being used to run this flesh racket. Cash worth Rs 2000 and two condoms were recovered from the accused.
 
Under the leadership of 56-year-old HSR inspector DR Nagaraja (he’s awaiting the new inspector of HSR before joining his new posting in Bommanahalli), two persons were arrested from house number 477/A, 1st floor, 18th C Main, Sector 3.
 
The two accused who have been arrested are Madan, a native of Okalipuram, and Kiran, a native of Bommanahalli. The third accused person Kumar, a resident of Hebbal, is still at large.
 
The two women who were rescued from prostitution are now under protective custody. They are aged 24 and 33 and natives of West Bengal and Maharashtra respectively.
