A house on 14th B Cross, 17th Main in Sector 4 was burgled between October 28, 5.45am and October 30, 9.30am. Nobody knows the exact time of robbery as the burglary came to light when the inhabitants were on a trip to Tirupati temple. The FIR was registered at the HSR police station on October 30 at 4pm.
Fifty-eight-year-old Panduranga Rao was residing with his family on the first and second floor of his house in Sector 4. At about 5.45am on October 28, the family left home after locking up their house to visit Tirupati. On October 30, they received a phone call from someone known to them that their house appeared to be broken into. By 9.30am, Panduranga’s younger brother Srinivas rushed to the HSR home to find that the front door was broken into and valuables worth over Rs 2.5 lakh were stolen. Some of the lost items were gold jewellery, comprising necklaces, chains, earrings and rings, and cash worth Rs 25,000.
A case under IPC 1860 is registered and the HSR cops are investigating.
