Krishna Kumar was surrounded by Ayurveda – his mother and grandfather were established Ayurvedic practitioners. Having marvelled at the wonders of Ayurveda, he graduated from JSS AMC, Mysore, with a degree (B.A.M.S) and a diploma (PGDND) in nutrition and dietetics followed by an MBA in Healthcare from Manipal University.
In 2011, Dr Kumar joined hands with an industry veteran and founded Keva Ayurveda with its first treatment centre in BTM Layout. Today, it has grown into nine treatment centres across India, including HSR Layout, with plans of expansion overseas. He has also started India’s first exclusive Ayurveda Clinic for Women and India’s first Ayurveda Online & Home Care Services.

In the near future, the promoters have plans of opening a wellness resort, to give the patients a complete ayurvedic experience during their stay. An Ayurveda academy that will provide training to fresh doctors, and pass on all that Keva Ayurveda has learnt, so that more and more people are benefitted, is on the cards. It is already operating a Keva Ayurveda Charitable trust, which helps the needy by conducting free health camps regularly and taking care of the treatment expenses of the patients who are in need of it.
