We had written about how the secondary collection point on HSR service road near BDA flyover was the source of anger from residents for many years now. Well, the good news is that the point has shifted to below the BDA flyover, much to everyone’s relief.
However, the service roads are left in a bad shape due to many agencies playing their part: the BWSSB, a nearby apartment that is letting its sewage into the drains, and ofcourse the lorries that are parked perennially along this stretch.
For the last two weeks, much work is already completed by the BBMP in transferring this secondary collection point to the new transfer station below the BDA flyover. Now, it’s time for The Ugly Indians, an anonymous group of citizens who beautify eyesores across the city, to take over. And you can be part of it too.
Tomorrow, they are going to reclaim and beautify this former Lorry Point on Outer Ring Road opposite Agara lake and near the HSR flyover. As The Ugly Indians put it, “You’ve suffered this spot for years – come and be part of its elimination!”
